Currently reading over the Vogue September Issue, for the umpteenth time since buying it, whilst watching the Olympic Closing Ceremony. This has to be one of the most spectacular pieces of television to be broadcast for some time.... Well maybe since the Opening anyway. So there was some cringe and of course moments of sheer madness, where all you could do was raise your eyebrows at them. Not to mention Boris Johnson dancing along to the Spice Girls, surely this is most peoples highlight? However the fact remains, that they not only involved a vast number of British celebrities and musical talent, but they also decided to involve the beauty of Britain and the fashion that we, as Brits can surely be proud to showcase. The fact that all of the clothes were modeled by British models, made by British designers, just shows how truly amazing this country really is. Whilst watching the ceremony, it made me, someone who could safely say is not overly patriotic, into someone who was indeed proud to be British, as did the Olympic games in its entirety. And as it closed, infamous words were said "When our time came, Britain, we did it right!"
