Aaron Lipsett and Fion - Cognac, this has been remixed by this brilliant duo, from a Brandy song 'Best Friend'. It was my summer song and just seemed to stick with me through the winter months too. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

ERDEM PRE-FALL 13

Erdem has always amazed me and this Pre-Fall 2013 collection is no different. This season Erdem Moralioglu has used the contrasts of materials such as organza and PVC to great effect. I have to say my clear winner is the short sleeve maxi dress, petrol blue and covered in a pink and green floral motif. This collection is not for the colour shy and for those who have an aversion to floral look away, but I am and always will be a sucker for Erdem. Moralioglu claims that his mission was to use 'simple silhouettes whose impact was dramatically concentrated on texture and colour.' There could be no better way of describing these beautiful clothes.

So the world did not end today. Shocker. Although I did enjoy the Google Mayan Logo. So now we can forget about all the doom and gloom, I have the perfect Christmas song. Lets celebrate people, Merry Christmas and HAPPY FRIDAY!

ZARA LOVE

Whilst visiting the Zara online store, I have decided I pretty much need the entire collection in my life and my wardrobe. Seriously, how does Zara always manage to hit the spot every season? It seems to be the perfect go to shop, for those of us who can't afford the expensive, designer garments we crave. Right now I am drawn to everything black and gray, so this collection is just perfect. Using materials such as Jersey, Faux Leather and Velvet, they manage to add that extra edge and give it all a more expensive look and feel. Here are some of my favourite pieces, in particular the Jewel T-shirt. Can't wait for the sales!!

Romeo Beckham is one of the new faces for Burberry's S/S 13 collection! This little guy is adorable and surely going to grow up to be a heartthrob like his father. All three of them (the lovely Charlie France and Edie Campbell modelling beside him) are wearing matching Burberry trenches. Apparently he is an avid fashion lover and this is obviously just the beginning, of what could be a life long career in the fashion industry. We will just have to wait and see. 

MONIQUE LHUILLIER PRE-FALL 13

There are some ladies in this world, that say they do not enjoy wearing dresses or dressing up in general and fair play to them. However, I am not one of them. There is nothing better that getting all dolled up and finding the perfect dress that flatters you from head to toe. This is why the 2013 Pre-Fall collection from Monique Lhuillier really grabbed me. I'm just looking at the last eight dresses from her collection, as they were just too beautiful to pass up. A series of column gowns, covered in silver or blue sequins, layers of tulle and lace, this collection could make any girl wear a dress for at least one night.

THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY

Yesterday, I went to see the long awaited first installment of 'The Hobbit'. I have to say this is one of my favourite books and I tend to only go to the cinema for the films that I think are really worth it. This was most definitely worth it. Classic Peter Jackson style and was much in keeping with his previous depictions of Tolkien, although the quality of the CGI was slightly higher. I have been told that this higher quality, was due to the use of 3D and although it has bothered a few of the friends who I went with, it didn't bother me too much. It gave the film a more ethereal feel, which as a story based around a fantasy world, it just seemed to fit! Jackson has been criticised for the length and the fact that it has been split into three parts, but I think the detail makes up for this critique. If you're a fan of the book, or just a lover of Jackson's previous work, 'The Lord of the Rings' films, you will certainly not be disappointed. 

NARCISO RODRIGUEZ PRE-FALL 13

These are my favourites from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection of Narciso Rodriguez. Heavy on the tailoring and leather, I couldn't think of collection that would be more perfect for next A/W. I love the colour palette, black, white, stone and tan. With the added bonus of burnt oranges and deep reds, it even includes the occasional use of salmon pink. It all works so beautifully together and I would give the entirety of my shoe collection, for any of the shoes shown here!

BOUTIQUE BARGAIN

Shopping yesterday, I came across this beauty in the Topshop sale. It was the only one of its kind and by some sort of miracle was my size. There was no doubt that I had to purchase this Boutique bargain! RRP £75 marked down to only £35, it is 100% Silk and a gorgeous nude colour. I love the slouchy, over sized shapelessness it has and looks surprisingly flattering on. This is perfect, to either dress down with thick tights/ leggings and black boots for the winter, or dress up with some dainty point heels. Already planning to wear this to celebrate the new year in. Now I need to find some statement jewellery to add to it.

HELMUT LANG PRE-FALL 13

Helmut Lang's Pre-Fall 2013 is very different to their bright collection of Spring 2013 and consists of only three colours: black, gray and blue. They have used materials such as linen and then contrasted this with patches of leather, on 'boxier, boyish silhouettes'. These are my favourite pieces from the collection.

MONOCHROME DREAMS

Why is it that winter always makes you want to discard every item of bright clothing you own and then replace them with a wardrobe full of monochrome goodies. This winter, I will be doing just this (well as much as my purse strings will allow me!). Black, white and gray, is my palette of choice for this A/W season, and I will be balancing this out with bright red lips and chunky gold costume jewellery.
